first sept for the creation of a DFS is to go on server manager and select on the right side pane the “Roles” node.
In the right side pane click on the “Add Roles” button just like in the picture.
On the first screen click “Next”
Select from the list by checking the box for “File Services”
Click “Next”
Click “Next”
Select the following “Role Services”
Checkbox ticked for :
“File Server”
“DFS Namespaces”
Click “Next”
Tick the box for “Create a namespace now, using the wizard”
Wright in the box for the namespace name: “AppV”
Tick the box for “Stand-alone namespace”
The naming for Lille VDI is the following \\sharename\Appv
In the next screen click on “Add” button
Select a folder target – click browse
Click Browse again.
Browse through the lille domain and select the file share
Click on “Show Shared Folders”
Select the first folder “Appv1
Click “OK”
Click ok on this screen.
Click “Next” on the screen.
Click “Install” and wait for the installation to finish.
Expand in server manager the following nodes. File Services-DFS Management – Namespaces
Right click on the SharedCache Select “Add Folder Target” from the drop down list
IN the Path to folder – select the path .Click ok
Now the namespace should point to two folder targets
The administrator can move the target from one location to another for the sharedcache updates.
The default enabled location is \\appv1
